Worksurfaces
From vibrant African Wenge Wood, to Industrial Steel, LWK Kitchens are able to supply you with a vast range of work surfaces to cater for every taste, budget, and application.
The kitchen worktop is possibly the most important feature to 'get right' within your kitchen as it will regularly come into contact with potentially damaging substances such as water, fats, juices, oils, hot pots and pans, as well as knives and other utensils. With this in mind, aside from aesthetic requirements, a key factor to be taken into account when choosing your worktop is the purpose which it will serve; and in turn, consideration must be given to its size, strength, durability and after care requirements.
LWK Kitchens can supply worktops manufactured from a variety of materials such as quartz, solid woods, natural or synthetic veneers, man-made boards, stone, glass or steel. LWK Kitchens will take the time to understand your requirements and budget in order to recommend the best option for you.
Laminate Worktops
Laminate worktops have always been a very popular option, particularly because they are lower in price and offer a far more extensive choice of colours and finishes than other materials. They can also be fitted immediately after installation of kitchen furniture, rather than waiting for templating and fabricating that other surfaces require.
Solid Surfaces
The most common type of solid worktop available is a solid synthetic/mineral mix, to which colour pigment is added. LWK Kitchens supply a wide range of Quartz surfaces, diverse in colour and texture. Most of the photographs on this page are of quartz worktops.

These are the most common natural stones used in worktops. They are extremely durable and available in an extensive range of colours. As they are a natural product, no two pieces of stone will ever be the same.
Unlike granite, marble tends to be more porous and so more care is required in order to avoid staining.
Granite and marble surfaces lend themselves extremely well to use with Country and Shaker style kitchens.
LWK Kitchens have access to some of the most individual and exotic stones found anywhere in the UK; all kept in stock with our supplier in London. You can be assured of rapid templating and manufacturing times. Further to this, using robot technology, we can produce some of the most intricate shapes and curves available anywhere.
Stainless Steel Worktops
With an industrial look, stainless steel is certainly a way to make a bold statement! Hygienic and robust, stainless steel is a material that can be formed into almost any shape you may desire.
For some discerning clients this type of work surface cannot be surpassed.
Glass Worktops
Glass worktops instil a very sleek and elegant touch to a kitchen, creating a very modern feel. Glass is available in any colour you wish, or for a more unique finish, the glass can be lit or opaqued, as you desire.
