Kitchen project notes

The Challenge:

The kitchen was in a very tired, old space and the clients wanted the area transformed into a newer, more modern atmosphere with a sharp finish. Clean lines and bright colours played an important role to the clients. They also sought after easily accessible appliances, incorporated into the design which they intended to use both for cooking and entertainment.

The Design / Solution:

For us to have achieved this, we had to separate the sink and the hob areas. The tall units were placed along one wall, in a remarkable Metallic Anthracite high gloss contrasting colour which housed the coffee machine, oven, and microwave. We then added simple, yet beautiful white coloured channel handles accompanied by the contrasting green splashback along the sink run.

The Island:

A unique and detailed shark-nosed worktop was placed upon the island and demonstrates the thin effect of the worktop whilst still maintaining the overall thickness. The hob, telescopic pop-up extractor fan and sink were placed upon the island which also incorporated the wine cooler. These appliances were fitted perfectly in the compact space which still allowed for seating at the back end of the island.

The layout:

The island kitchen layout worked especially well to combine the clients’ requirements and needs. It also allowed for a smooth, flowing and extremely functional kitchen and design. This layout was the perfect match for the area and space we had to work with.

Client verdict:

Our clients were impressed and ecstatic with their kitchen project which consisted of beautiful colours and high reflective finishes. The kitchen was very simplistic and is a great addition to their home.
